Homemade Valentine's

We've been working on some personal Valentine's for both of our parents that we thought they would actually enjoy. Yes, they are not that cute but it's the thought that counts. Here are some pics. They were incredibly easy to make.

First we cut hearts out of red construction paper.

then I poured paint to dip Maci's hand in

I asked her to give me her hands. ha!

then I dipped her hand in the paint

then I stamped her handand here is the finished product!

this one is for grandmother and it was made with her thumb and index finger prints.

On a more serious note, I have been having shortness of breath and my heart beating really fast and passing out spells lately. Today was the 3rd one I've had in the past 3 weeks. They are very scary!! I went in to the doctor today and they ran a bunch of tests and so far everything has been normal except I'm low on iron, (which I became with Maci Rose around 7 months). Hopefully everything will come back with good results. I've talked to a few people who say it sounds like I'm having anxiety attacks (which makes good since) because of the situations that they've happened to me in. I hate that they had to start while I'm pregnant because I really don't want to take medication for it.  Has anyone else experienced anything like this before?

All A Student

So far I am an all A student in grad school. Let's hope I can keep up the good work!! I know it's going to be tuff when I have 2 children to study around. Whew...wish me luck!

Here is my first grad school test. All fill in the blank and short answer. What ever happened to multiple choice??

23 weeks & counting...

I am 23 weeks pregnant. Although I've never really been a fan of belly pics, I've posted a few for you to see. I am definitely bigger and showing way faster this time around. I weighed 121 lbs at the doctor last week and I was 122lbs when I delivered Maci Rose. It's depressing seeing those #'s this close when I'm barely over the half way mark. I like to think it's because I was 5lbs heavier at my first doctors visit with this one (108 lbs) than the first doctors visit with Maci Rose (103 lbs). I gained a total of 19 lbs with her according to the doctors charts so if I can do the same again, hopefully I'll weigh no more than 127 lbs when I deliver this baby. Either way I definitely feel like this baby is going to be a big boy. My mom delivered me (a 6 lb baby) and then my brother not even 2 years later (a 10lb baby). I pray he's not that big!!! I go for my glucose screening at the next visit so wish me luck!!

The first pic, my pants are pulled down below my stomach.

This one is where my pants normally ride on my belly.

New Obsession

Maci Rose has a new OBSESSION!! And I mean obsessed!! Dora the Explorer! In the past 2 weeks every time she hears the word dora or sees anything in a store with Dora on it she goes insane. She actually woke up from a nap on Saturday when the dora theme song started playing on t.v. Seriously, I feel bad because I can get soooo much done when she sits in front of the t.v for that long. I'm not used to this because, yes she has liked cartoons before now, but not enough to capture her attention for hours at a time like this. She sings "the map" song and says "Awww man" like the fox. It's so funny!!

this is her dancing around the room to the songs.

New house!!

We have been in our new house for 3 weeks now and are absolutely loving being able to have our space and time by ourselves as a family. As many of you know, we had been living with my grandmother for the past 3.5 months because we sold our house in August and moved out at the end of September with no where to go. I know one day I will look back and think that 3.5 months was nothing, but it seemed like ETERNITY!!

I have posted some pics of our new house. We still have a long way to go, but it's coming along great so far!

Also, Maci Rose got a new potty for Christmas and we've pulled it out and put it in her bathroom and she loves it. She's potty training herself it seems like. Although I've never actually seen anything in it (poop or tee-tee) she seems to understand the urge she feels and she runs to the potty, but if I pull her diaper down she just sits there or stands up and then goes. I am ok with this for now because she is only 21 months old and I feel like we have about 6 months to perfect it so I am confident it will get done. Also, a lot of moms have told me that some children go back to diapers once a new baby gets here for the attention, so I don't want to push her and then go backwards.

It's a boy!!

We are sooo excited to be adding a little baby boy to our family at the beginning of June! I think a boy will add the perfect touch to what we have now. I know that Maci Rose will be so excited because she absolutely loves baby dolls and we're going to have to watch her closely with this "live" baby doll. I can't thank God enough for giving me an adorable baby girl already and a baby boy on the way. Now I can experience the best of both worlds. I'm truly greatful!

Here are some pics of our little man but keep in mind I don't have a scanner so I had to take a picture of the ultrasound. They may be a little hard to make out.

Halloween

We had a very fun filled Halloween! Maci Rose dressed up as a black cat, white Arisocat, & a cute little bunny thanks to Nonnie who bought her like a million different costumes.  We also took my godchild, Landon, to Boo at the Zoo on Friday night. I would highly recommend it! It is a great set-up for children as well as adults and I hope to go back every year.

Here are some pics from our festivities:
