Carter is 5 months old today! He weighed 17.5 pounds at the doctor this morning!!
He has still not "perfected" the sitting up thing yet. He's still doing the same thing as a few weeks ago. Sitting up for about a minute or 2 and then falling forward or to the side. I've been propping pillows around him and giving him toys to play with now, so hopefully he will learn some balance soon.
Unfortunately for us, he is still not sleeping through the night. He does have a bed time routine now, which helps. He usually eats around 6:30, gets a bath, swaddled up and in bed around 7:30/7:45. He will usually sleep until 2 and then he's up every 3 hours for a bottle. Sometimes I wake him up around 10:30 and feed him and then he sleeps until 3 or 4, but sometimes that doesn't work because I'm in bed by 9!
Even though he is huge, he is still wearing mostly 3-6 months clothes, and some 6-9 months. His halloween costume was a 3 month and fit him perfectly. I think they make boys clothes bigger because boys tend to be bigger?? But you'd think he'd be in 12-18 month old clothes, right?? Maci Rose was a little over 18 pounds at 12 months. He's not even half way to one yet and he's almost 18 pounds!!
We made an appointment today to see the specialist next month because he will be 6 months old. I'm nervous to see what they are going to say and do. I think we will have Carter on the surgery list before a year old though.
