A good report

I went to the doctor today for my 30 week appointment and I've actually lost a pound from 3 weeks ago. WOOOHOOO!! Total weight gain so far is 23 lbs, which is still more than what I gained the whole entire pregnancy with MR. (only 22 lbs total with her). I'm just hoping to stay under 30 this time. I lost 2 lbs at my 32 week visit with Maci Rose so by comparing charts the dr. wasn't concerned.

My stomach is measuring one day behind, but no big deal, that's pretty much right on track.

Heartbeat looks good and was in the 140's. The dr. said I have good fluid surrounding the baby and he still has plenty of room to roam in there so maybe he's not as big of a baby as I thought. Maci Rose was only 5 1/2 pounds so I definitely wouldn't mind a 6 or 7 lb baby because she was sooo tiny.

I must say I'm feeling better than ever at this point. Probably because I'm really starting to look pregnant now and not just fat. I have just looked fat this whole time so far and now people are finally asking me when I'm due.

My nose is stretching though which makes me sooo ugly and preggo looking. I've had a few of you (girls)/readers say that you can tell it in my face which is gross & depressing, but the bright side is that I will have a beautiful baby boy in 9 more weeks and hopefully that will make it all worth it!

Now it's haircut time for us girls....it's just too long to handle these days!!

Stressed....

These next few weeks are super busy for me. Below is a list of things coming up not including taking care of a 23 month old, making dinner, packing lunches, doing housework, laundry, and exercising. And keep in mind I tire really easy these days. Also, I love my reality shows (DWTS & American Idol) that I would also like to fit in if at all possible.

This week's agenda:

Monday: Studying all day for a math quiz on Tuesday and a geology test on thursday.

Tuesday: Math quiz in the morning & meeting with my advisor to schedule classes for next semester in the afternoon.

Wednesday: 30 week dr. appointment and studying the rest of the day. (My mom is going to take Maci Rose for the day....so excited about that!)

Thursday: Math test review day so all worksheets have to be completed. Geology test #3!! (a lot is riding on this test. I currently have a 97 in the class and I don't have to take the final exam if I'm satisfied with my grade in the class, so I HAVE TO ace this test.  If not then I will have to take the final at 36 weeks preggo!)

Friday: Addressing b'day invitations and hopefully finishing the spreadsheet of names/addresses for my aunt who is throwing me a baby shower.

Saturday: Dying easter eggs and taking Maci Rose to an Easter Egg hunt. Easter bunny comes for us on Saturday night since we have such a busy Easter Sunday.

Sunday: church, lunch with dad's side, Pictures with mom's side, dinner with Jeremy's family.

Next week:
Monday: Finishing and sending out Maci Rose's b'day invitations. Studying for my math test. Calling my old boss to work out a schedule to come in and work some. To keep you informed, I quit my job back in January to start grad school and my boss called me last week and wanted to know if I could come in and help them get caught up with some computer stuff they are behind on and I told him I would call him after Easter to figure out a time to come in and to get Maci Rose taken care of.

Tuesday: Math test!! This test is going to be impossible. I'm really struggling in this math class. It's so hard and I have no one to ask questions to once I get home. Also, I have a geology quiz.

Wednesday: First day back to work. A little nervous if I can handle everything at once.

Thursday: Class all day, but thank goodness no tests or quizzes.

Friday - Sunday: Planning Maci Rose's b'day. Buying supplies, etc.

Besides all of that.....

I'm going to the dr. every 2 weeks now.
Need to schedule Maci Rose's 2 year old dr. visit.
Maci's b'day party is the 18th!!
My baby shower is the following weekend.

Maybe being this busy will make this month fly by!! Let's pray at least that I can get through it all without going into labor!!

Have a great week everyone!!

My sweet boy!

Friday we had our 4-D ultrasound and this little boy was the sweetest thing!! He worked so well with the technician and we got some great pics.

Introducing Carter Anthony Moore:

We also had a lot of fun in the BEAUTIFUL weather God provided us and hung out with family around my aunt's pool for the first time this year. I broke out my first maternity bathing suit and Maci Rose had a blast playing with her cousins and sticking her feet in the pool.

I am extremely blessed with 2 beautiful sweet children. God is so good!

10 weeks!

10 weeks from today I will have Carter in my arms!! If I don't go into labor before then, I will be  having a scheduled c-section on June 2nd (which is 10 weeks from today).

Today he weighs around 2 pounds 9 ounces, which is about as much as a liter of soda pop! He has 2-3 percent boy fat and his brain is growing rapidly. And even though he's not sad, he may cry at times already! Interesting!!

Rude Awakening

For Maci Rose that is!

We have been keeping the baby's room shut because it has been a huge mess since we've moved in. This week I have been trying to get a lot of it organized and ready for this new baby. Maci Rose has been right beside me every step of the way. I think she is starting to sense what is coming. Every single toy in his room was obviously hers first and she is not ready to share them AT ALL!!

She climbed in the exersaucer and started playing with the little toys on it like she was 6 months old again. I couldn't help but laugh. Her legs are so squished she can't be comfortable!
My latest project is trying to recover the basinet. Once again Maci Rose climbed right on in there as well.
She carried a different toy out of his room into the loft to play with (including the swing) that I can't seem to get away from her.

I don't really know what else to do to prepare a child her age for a new baby. She loves baby dolls and we play with them and try to show her how to treat them and care for them. I haven't introduced my belly to her as a baby yet because I don't think she will understand. And also I have heard horror stories of little kids going up to random women and pointing to their bellies and saying baby and I don't want to go down that road with a random woman while we're out running errands.

She has been really lovey lately. Like she'll say momma, momma and when I say what she'll hug me and kiss me. My mom even made a comment about how lovey she was in church on Sunday. So I think she may be starting to realize what's coming.

Any suggestions about what we can do to let her know she's about to have to share the stage??

March Birthday's

Every year we get together with my inlaws for all the March birthdays (Jeremy, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law). This year everyone decided to go to my favorite restaurant Konomi. This is the 3rd time we've gone there in the past 2 months. Usually we go there like once every 6 months because it's so expensive. I love love love Japanese food and it's so entertaining for Maci Rose!

Using chopstix for the first time

She was so full that she passed out on our bed as soon as she got home, same clothes and no bath!

Happy Birthday Nana and Aunt Denise!!

And the name is..........

CARTER!!!!!!

Carter Anthony Moore!!

It has been one heck of time picking out a name for our little man. Our list consisted of over 30 names and we could only narrow it down to 3. Yes that's 3, not 1. The other 2 names are Miller & Jackson. But out of all the names we liked we know someone with a child named that already or I have a cousin with that name. Yes, I have over 30 boy cousins so it has been really hard to pick a name no one else has. Maci Rose was the first girl in 20 years so it has been boys, boys, boys around here.

Anthony is my dad's name, an Italian name, and a Saint. We think it is going to be the perfect name for our little boy! I hope you like it too!

Comparing....

I find myself comparing my 2 pregnancies all the time. Even though it hasn't even been 2 years since I was pregnant, it is hard for me to remember some things.

Foods that I remember with Maci Rose was ALOT of fruit w/low fat whipped cream (especially apples) and sweets! I would skip having actual meals and real food just to eat 3 servings of desert. Towards the end of my pregnancy almost every Sunday after church Jeremy and I would go to Ruby Tuesday for a blondie (1200 calorie desert) that we would "split". I think all you women who've been preggo before know how that "split" stuff works...you eat almost all of it and Jeremy eats a few bites to make me feel like I didn't eat the whole thing by myself!

Doctor's visits were the most exciting part!! I loved hearing the baby's heartbeat and getting measured, etc. They couldn't come soon enough! I had a very good pregnancy.

This time I absolutely love food! I don't care for fruit or deserts at all. I think I've actually eaten healthier (but I guess that depends on the portion sizes of things). I've had a big spinach salad phase, asparagus phase, popsickle phase (mainly for the icy part of it, not the sweet part), walnuts and dried cranberries mixed, and wheat thins(which I ate a whole box of in one weekend one time, embarrassing). Besides that I have loved salads w/chicken and cheese. I have been eating salads for breakfast even. Crazy!

Doctor's visits have come often this time and I dread them. They are depressing to me because of the scale. I've had a few complications which has sent me to St. Vincents a few times more than I wanted. By the way, I must have passed my glucose screening because they would have contacted me if not. Wooo hooo! You mean I actually got away with SOMETHING this pregnancy?? I'm shocked! this has been nothing but easy, but I have to keep in mind living with my grandmother for 3 months, new house, grad school, etc. I've definitely had a different life this time around.

Anyways, with that being said... Below are some pics of me at 28 weeks now (in the jeans) and 28 weeks with Maci Rose (pink pants). I had to copy those pics off of facebook so they may be a little blurry. But, the point is, what is the deal?? I don't feel like I look much different, but I'm 7lbs heavier right now and those pants won't fit me.

Spring Break

Well my spring break has officially started. This will be my first week not working or in school in the past 3 years. So I sat down and made out a list of things I need to do while I have the time. It's a little overwhelming, but the good thing is that I started some of the projects today and I surprisingly have gotten a lot accomplished in just one afternoon.

Below is all of Maci Rose's clothes that have just been thrown in boxes up in the attic. I've organized all of them according to size and pulled out any gender neutral clothes. There wasn't much that wasn't pink, but I got a lot of plain white socks and onesies as well as a few white turtle necks and receiving blankets.

Up next on my list is organizing the baby's drawers and closet and attempting to get as much of his clothes and bedding washed as possible. It's going to take quite a few loads. I also need to find & wash the carseat cover, basinet cover, and all the swaddle blankets.

This is what his drawers look like right now.

This is what his closet looks like. He's catching up to Maci Rose.

These are a few of my favorite outfits:
I figure this could be his easter outfit next year w/some knee high socks and it was only $15.

Love the color of this one, it's not blue!
This was only $5 and its pj's, booties, and a bib. Great deal!

If you're wondering where I've found all these clothes and deals I have been going to those big church second hand sales. They are great ways to stock up on things you need and don't want to pay full price for.

HAPPY SPRING BREAK EVERYONE!!

The Final Stretch

Today I'm officially in my 3rd trimester!

It has been a rather depressing day though. I had my glucose screening this morning and I hate drinking that glucose stuff. It's sooo nasty and horrible for my diet! I found out that I have gained 24lbs. so far...SOOOO DEPRESSING TO ME! I only gained 19lbs the entire time with Maci Rose! I don't know what I'm doing differently??

I have been walking on my treadmill at least an hour every day, doing my arm workouts and I've been eating the same foods as when I was pregnant with Maci Rose. Actually I may be eating larger portions of food, but I always made sure to save room for desert with her and this time I don't care for deserts. My stomach is measuring 3 days bigger than what I am.

Is it just boys?

I've heard that statistics show boys tend to be bigger. I have gained weight all over as opposed to just in my stomach, like with Maci Rose. Obviously, I can't necesarily diet but does anyone have any suggestions what I can do differently? I can't keep putting on 5 lbs. every time I go to the doctor. I refuse to!

The good news....I go for my 4-D ultrasound next week and I'm super excited about that! I also go back to the dr. in 3 weeks and then every 2 weeks from there on out. Which means I'm in the final stretch! It's getting so close, but still so far away. My ticker/counter thing on my blog says 84 days which seems like forever, but if you divide that by 30 days in a month that's less than 3 months and my baby boy will be here! Can't wait to meet him!

I know some of you are antsy about the name, but it's coming in a blog post so stay tuned!!

D..R..A..M..A !!!! Q U E E N

Today I was driving in the car and Maci Rose was in the back coloring in her Dora coloring book...

When all of a sudden she started screaming and crying out of no where and when I turned to see what was wrong she held up a page she tore out of the coloring book saying Dora broke , Dora broke!! OMG!! I thought she was hurt or something!!

Can we say DRAMA QUEEN? Just like her dad! Ha!
