Christmas Eve and Day

This little guy enjoyed himself and his presents on Christmas Eve....

But unfortunately this little girl had a rough beginning of the night.

On Christmas Eve my whole family, cousins, aunts, uncles, and all go to church together and then to my grandmother's house to exchange gifts and play games.

This year was a little different though because in the middle of church Maci Rose threw up out of no where. In her 2.5 years of life we've never seen her throw up or have a stomach bug (knock on wood), so this was a first for her and us. She had to take her dress off so we left Carter with the family and headed home to get her a new outfit and to see how she felt.

Everything seemed fine with her for the next hour so we went to my grandmothers to celebrate with everyone. The only thing we can conclude about her incident is that she had a slight cold last week and we gave her mucinex on an empty stomach before church. After she ate she was absolutely fine. A mommy lesson learned!

Exchanging presents....

Here are all the grandchildren and great grandchildren. I'm the oldest!
There are 5 great grandchildren and the 6th is on the way. Besides Maci Rose, all the great grandchildren are boys including the one on the way!

Christmas Day

Look at what Santa Claus brought this year...

And this is the first time we've had a white Christmas!!

We went to Aunt Mary and Uncle Ant's house for lunch and the last exchanging of presents. This is Maci Rose wearing her new princess set.
And Carter got this adorable outfit...thanks Em!

We then went to my dad's family Christmas dinner. (this is the Italian side and there are over 75 people in one house, it's crazy but good to see everyone every year).

These 2 are cousins....can you tell which one is Maci Rose??

We had a fabulous Christmas and hope you did as well!

"Moore" Christmas!

The night before Christmas Eve we went to my inlaws for supper and our first round of presents. Although I don't have that many pictures from that night because my camera battery died, my kiddos racked up with presents. When we got home and unloaded the car and really went through everything, I thought my kids didn't need Santa to come anymore.

Maci Rose got 3 dolls, dora memory game, 2 other games we haven't opened yet, a talking puppy, play kitchen food, aprons, and oven mit, a tea set, and I'm sure there are more I'm leaving off. Needless to say she got tons of toys!

Carter got a snail that rolls to encourage crawling, a ball that sings and talks and moves on its own, trucks, cars and a ramp to roll them down, rattles, and a little basket ball goal that grows with you.

Carter curiously watching his cousin Casey.
Carter is 3 months older than Casey.
Casey is almost 4 months old and is rolling over like a champ!

Carter is reassuring Casey that one day he would be as big as him!

This is the only picture I have of Maci Rose running to open up presents.
Here are Nana and Papa and all their grandchildren.
Thanks Nana and Papa for having us!!

Family Tradition

Ever since I can remember me and my cousins used to get together every Christmas to do gingerbread houses and cookies. Now, we are carrying on the tradition with our kids!

Carter boy chewed on a twizzler the whole time!

My sugar high children! (look at Carter's belly)

I offered to do it at my house this year and let me tell you it is a huge chore to clean up sprinkles and flour and candy. I'm still finding it after I've swept and mopped a few times!

We also tried something new, gingerbread ornaments. All of ours were broken before we could even decorate them :( but maybe next year we will do a better job!

It was so much fun and one of the things I look forward to all year long!

A Very Red Christmas Party

Last Saturday my aunt had a super fun party! I highly recommend it if you've never played before. The object of the game is to figure out who killed santa. She sent out emails a month ahead of time telling you who you had to dress up as. I was Ms. Mistletoe (the north pole accountant) and Jeremy was Cody Zip (the north pole postmaster). We googled our names and ordered our outfits online.

When we walked in the door she handed us an envelope with a name tag and some clues in it. It also had an alibi that you had to memorize and tell people when they asked where you were when Santa Claus was killed. (It's very similar to the game Clue). We also had a sheet where you could jot down notes next to each person to figure out who to eliminate.

Father and Mrs. Time--they won best costume!
you can't see it in this picture but his clock was a viagra clock...hilarious!)

Willie Columbo & Snow Flake & off to the right side was Frosty the Snowman

The Grinch and Buddy the Elf

From left to right..Darla Bright, Comet, Cupid, Yule Tide(the reindeer trainer), Vixen, Prancer, Snowflake

Buddy the Elf and Jingle Bell

Cody Zip, Ms. Mistletoe, Cupid and Comet
Jolly O'Toy (the head toy factory manager)

My dad and his 3 kids (My brother was Basil the North Pole insurance agent).

And guess who killed Santa Claus .....
You guessed it...Cody Zip (the postmaster of the North Pole and my hubby!!)  He had no clue, but his alibi was that he was out delivering mail and he had no witness and there was no one else who saw him or was with him, so by process of elimination it came down to him!

Sorry to all of the people I didn't get pictures of. All of the costumes were hilarious and great!! This was such a fun party!!
